Delhi’s Bureaucratic Reshuffle: Six Officers Out, New Secretaries In, LG Gives Go-Ahead

A significant shake-up has swept through Delhi’s administrative corridors as six senior officers were swiftly transferred out, making way for a fresh batch of secretaries tasked with working hand-in-hand with the capital’s ministers. With Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena’s approval sealed on March 20, 2025, the move signals a strategic realignment aimed at streamlining governance and boosting coordination in the city’s power structure.

Delhi LG, VK Saxena (ANI)

Transfer Orders: A major administrative reshuffle was done in Delhi. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena transferred half a dozen senior officers while making administrative reshuffle. These officers have been appointed as secretaries of six ministers of the Delhi government. Till now these officers were posted in different departments, but now they will have important responsibilities.

Six Officers Transferred in Delhi

Rajiv Shukla has been appointed secretary to Minister Parvesh Verma in the Delhi government. At the same time, the Director of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has been appointed secretary to Home Minister Ashish Sood, while the Director of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has been appointed secretary to Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa.

Apart from this, secretaries have also been appointed for three other ministers, but detailed information about their names and postings has not been revealed yet.
